Undocumented dxl commands?

Hello everybody,

I was just looking over dxl script delivered with the DOORS, for excel export. There's few names/properties, which are merely listed in google, does somebody know anything more about the following:

AHeading
AShortText
ALongText
headingLong

which are located in this piece of code:

.... some code ...
string attributeName = o.(reserved AMainColumnAttribute)
 if(null attributeName)
 {
     if (doMain == mainHeading) s = fullAttributeValue_(o,AHeading,false,false)
     if (doMain == mainShort) s = o.AShortText (NLS_(""))
     if (doMain == mainLong) s = fullAttributeValue_(o,ALongText,false,false)
     if (doMain == mainHeadingLong) s = headingLong o
}

I am not sure I would call these undocumented dxl commands. I believe you will find these are variables defined in scripts provided by the vendor.

Thanks, you were absolutely right - I've found all these functions in DOORS/.../lib/utils

Hi,

the code you cite is from "%ProgramFiles%\Telelogic\DOORS_8.2\lib\dxl\standard\export\office\excel.dxl"

This file contains the line

#include <utils/doctools/itfutil.inc>

This file contains the lines

const string AHeading = "Object Heading"
const string AShortText = "Object Short Text"
const string ALongText = "Object Text"

headingLong is defined in excel.dxl itself, ll. 181 ff.

string headingLong(Object o) {…}

regards,
Mike
